The short version
Loki stays on your phone. Really.
- No account. Nothing to sign up for, so there's no email, name, or password to store.
- No servers. Your goals, sessions, and notes live on your iPhone. They never travel to us.
- No trackers. No analytics kits, no ad networks, no third-party code watching what you do.
- Apple handles the apps you hold. Loki never learns which apps you picked or how much you use them.
- Payments go through Apple. We never see your card.

Who we are
Loki is made by AimLabs ("we", "us"). We build the Loki: Screen Time & Focus app for iPhone and run this website. If anything on this page is unclear, write to us at apps@aimlabs.dev. A human reads it.
What Loki keeps on your phone
Loki works entirely on your device. To do its job, it stores the following on your iPhone, in the app's own protected storage:
- Goals you write, with their emoji and whether you've marked them done.
- Sessions: when each one started and ended, how long you planned, what you typed as your intention, and how it ended (finished, ended early, or recovered after a restart).
- Small wins: the feelings you tap and the notes you write after a session.
- Reflection notes: the reason you type when you ask Loki to open a held app mid-session.
- Schedules and hold settings: your time windows, friction level, and the apps you chose to hold (see Screen Time for what "chose" means here).
- Preferences: theme, sounds, bell, and similar settings.
Loki's widget, lock-screen timer, and the small helper parts that keep a hold in place while the app is closed share this storage on the same phone. They are all Loki, and they all stay on your device.
What leaves your phone
Nothing that identifies you, and nothing about your focus. Specifically:
- We have no server that receives your goals, sessions, notes, app choices, or usage.
- Loki contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code from us or anyone else.
- If you've turned on "Share with App Developers" in your iPhone's Analytics settings, Apple may send us aggregated crash reports and usage statistics. Apple strips these of anything that identifies you before we see them, and you can turn that switch off any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
If we ever add an optional feature that needs the network, such as syncing between your own devices, we'll say so here first, it will be off unless you turn it on, and it will use Apple's iCloud under your Apple account rather than a server of ours.
Screen Time and app holding
To hold apps during a session or a schedule, Loki asks for Screen Time access through Apple's own permission screen. You can say no, and Loki still works as a timer. You can take the permission back any time in Settings › Screen Time.
When you choose which apps to hold, you do it in an app picker that Apple draws and Apple controls. Loki receives only anonymous tokens that stand for your picks. Those tokens let Loki tell iOS "hold these" without ever revealing app names, categories, or how often you open them. That's a deliberate design by Apple, and we like it that way: we can't see your list, so we can't leak it, sell it, or judge it.
Everything about your holds, including the tokens, stays on your phone and is protected by Apple.
Purchases
If you buy Loki Forever or a monthly plan, the purchase is handled by the Apple App Store under Apple's privacy terms. Apple gives Loki a receipt that says "this device has this purchase," which the app uses to unlock what you paid for and to restore it on a new iPhone. We never receive your card details, billing address, or Apple ID password.
Notifications
Loki's notifications, like the bell when a timed session runs out, are scheduled locally on your phone. There is no push server behind them and nothing is sent to us to trigger them. You choose whether to allow notifications when iOS asks, and you can change your mind in Settings.
This website
This site is a few static pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request, under Google's privacy policy. The site's host may keep standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security, as most hosts do.
When you email us
If you write to us, we keep your email and our reply so we can help you and remember the conversation. We don't add you to any list, and we don't share your message with anyone else unless you ask us to.
Children
Loki is made for adults and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age, because the app doesn't collect anything in the first place. If you're a parent with a question, email us.
Your rights and your data
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data a company holds about you. Here's the honest situation: we don't hold any. Your Loki data is on your phone, under your control.
- To see your data: open the app. It's all there.
- To delete it: delete the app. iOS removes Loki's storage with it. To clear a hold first, end the session or remove the schedule inside Loki, or revoke Screen Time access in Settings.
- To ask us anything: email apps@aimlabs.dev. We'll answer within a reasonable time and never ask for more information than we need to reply.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Loki handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For anything that matters, like adding an optional network feature, we'll also tell you in the app before it takes effect. We won't quietly move from "stays on your phone" to anything else.
