The handshake

Terms of use

Effective October 6, 2026 · Applies to the Loki app for iPhone and to lokifocus.app.

The short version

  • Loki is a personal focus tool. Your goals and notes remain yours.
  • Paid access is offered only through Apple subscriptions. The price, billing period, included features, and any trial are shown before you subscribe.
  • A free trial becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel in time. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
  • Manage or cancel in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting Loki does not cancel your subscription.
  • Your mandatory consumer rights remain protected.

This summary helps you find the essentials. The full terms below apply to your use of Loki and this website.

About these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are between you and AimLabs ("we", "us", or "our") and cover the Loki app ("Loki" or the "App") and lokifocus.app. By using them, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms, or have a parent or legal guardian's permission and supervision where allowed by law. Loki is not intended for children under 13 or below a higher minimum age required in your country. Purchases also require the authorization applicable to your Apple Account.

Our Privacy policy explains how information is handled, including the planned use of PostHog for limited usage analytics. Agreeing to these Terms does not replace consent where privacy law requires it.

Apple's license and your use

Loki is licensed, not sold. Your license to the App is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA"), including its device and usage rules. These Terms supplement that license with the terms for Loki's service and subscriptions; they do not replace the Standard EULA. If there is a conflict about the app license, the Standard EULA controls.

The agreement for Loki is with AimLabs. Apple is not responsible for providing Loki's support or maintenance. Contact us at hello@lokifocus.app for help with the App. Apple's App Store and media-services terms separately govern your dealings with Apple.

Using a focus tool

Loki helps you plan focus sessions and manage distractions. It does not guarantee any particular productivity result and is not medical advice, therapy, or a medical treatment.

App and website restrictions depend on your selections, permissions, device, and Apple's Screen Time features. Their availability and timing can be affected by iOS behavior and updates. You can manage your selections in Loki and revoke Screen Time permission in your device's Settings. Do not rely on Loki for emergency access, safety-critical controls, or supervision of another person.

Some features may require a supported iOS version, an internet connection, or an active subscription. The offer shown in the app identifies what is included in a paid plan. These Terms do not promise that every feature is free or available in every version or region.

Subscriptions and billing

All purchases in Loki are subscriptions processed through the Apple App Store. We do not accept direct payments, use another payment provider, or offer one-time purchases. Subscription terms apply when you accept an offer in the app.

  • Your offer: before confirmation, the app and Apple's purchase screen show the included paid features, full price, currency, billing period, and any introductory offer. Available plans and prices may vary by region and over time.
  • Payment: Apple charges the payment method associated with your Apple Account when you confirm a paid subscription, or at the end of an applicable free trial.
  • Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew for the selected billing period at the applicable price unless canceled. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next renewal charge. Apple may charge for renewal within the 24 hours before the next period begins.
  • Price changes: Apple provides notices and obtains consent to subscription price increases where required. You can cancel before a new price applies.
  • Access: paid features are available while Apple reports an active entitlement. Expiry, a refund, revocation, or an unresolved billing issue may end paid access, subject to any grace period Apple makes available.

Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions and mandatory local consumer law also apply to billing.

Free trials and introductory offers

A trial is available only when the purchase offer expressly includes one. The trial duration, price after the trial, and renewal period are shown before you confirm. Eligibility is determined by Apple and the offer conditions; a previous trial or subscription may make you ineligible for another introductory offer.

Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, Apple will charge the subscription price shown when you accepted the offer, and the subscription will renew automatically. You can cancel during the trial through your Apple subscription settings. Apple's cancellation screen shows when access ends; depending on the offer, canceling a trial may end access immediately.

Any unused portion of a trial may be forfeited if you purchase a subscription that replaces that trial, where Apple's offer rules apply. Downloading Loki alone does not enroll you in a paid subscription: you must confirm Apple's subscription purchase flow.

Cancellation, restoration, and refunds

To cancel on iPhone, open Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Loki › Cancel Subscription (or Cancel Free Trial). See Apple's cancellation instructions. Your Apple subscription settings show your current status and expiry date.

Canceling normally stops the next renewal and leaves paid access until the end of the current paid period, except where Apple's terms or local law provide otherwise. Deleting the App, stopping use, or emailing us does not cancel your subscription.

You can restore eligible access using Restore Purchases in Loki while signed in to the Apple Account used to subscribe. Restoration does not create a second subscription or restart an expired trial.

Apple handles refund requests at reportaproblem.apple.com. Eligibility depends on Apple's rules and applicable law; see Apple's refund guidance. We cannot issue an App Store refund directly. Cancellation does not automatically refund earlier payments. Nothing in these Terms excludes a refund, withdrawal right, or other remedy required by consumer law.

Your content and privacy

You keep ownership of the goals, intentions, notes, and other content you enter. We do not claim ownership of it. This content is stored locally as described in the Privacy policy. You are responsible for the content you choose to enter and any backups you want to keep.

Removing the App may remove its local content. Backups are managed separately through your device and Apple settings. Subscription restoration restores eligible paid access, not a copy of deleted notes or session history.

Our content and acceptable use

Loki's code, design, artwork, mascot, text, and other materials belong to AimLabs or its licensors. Your right to use the App does not transfer ownership of those materials. Personal sharing, reviews, and commentary may include screenshots or short clips, subject to applicable law.

Do not use Loki unlawfully, violate other people's rights, interfere with its security or purchase checks, or overload this website. Do not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the App except as permitted by the Standard EULA or applicable law.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Loki reliable, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, the App and website are provided as available, without additional warranties beyond those required by law or the Standard EULA.

We may update features or supported devices for product, security, or legal reasons. If a change materially affects a paid service, we will give appropriate notice and honor any cancellation, refund, or other rights required by law. We do not use these Terms to remove mandatory rights relating to digital products or services.

Responsibility and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of Loki or this website. Any limitation of liability for the app license is subject to the Standard EULA.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your statutory consumer rights, including rights concerning defective or nonconforming digital services, remain unaffected.

Stopping use

You can stop using Loki at any time. Cancel any subscription separately through Apple if you do not want it to renew. If you materially breach these Terms, we may take proportionate action to stop misuse or end access as permitted by law and the Standard EULA. This does not remove any mandatory refund or consumer rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Loki or legal requirements. We will post the updated version with its effective date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes where required. If a change requires your agreement, we will ask for it. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have.

Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are subject to applicable law, including the mandatory consumer protections available in your country of residence. They do not require you to give up a court or remedy available under that law. The Standard EULA governs the law applicable to the app license, subject to those mandatory protections.

If a problem arises, contact us so we can try to resolve it. Doing so is not a condition of exercising your legal rights. If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
